The Kids and Grandkids Will Love This Casserole Featuring Doritos – It’s Okay for You to Get Excited!

Check out what my friends at Spend with Pennies had to say about this Doritos Casserole:

I love Doritos! This recipe is going to be one of my favorites. I am actually going to make it for a family get together this memorial day! I can’t wait to see how much everyone loves it.

Love this quick and easy casserole for busy nights! It’s definitely one the whole family loves. Who doesn’t like Doritos?! Thanks for sharing.

Ingredients

1 (family size) bag Doritos, any flavor (I used Nacho Cheese)
1 onion, diced
1 pound lean ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1 package McCormick low sodium taco seasoning
1 cup Old El Paso salsa
1 cup Daisy sour cream
1 can Campbells cream of chicken or mushroom soup
2 cups Kraft shredded cheese, (I used tex mex blend)
Optional toppings
Lettuce
Tomato
Olives
Sour Cream

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place salsa in a strainer to drain while you prepare the beef.

Cook ground beef with onion and garlic until no pink remains. Add taco seasoning and ½ cup of water. Stir until thickened, then remove from heat.

Combine drained salsa, sour cream, soup and 1 cup of cheese in a bowl. Add in beef and stir well.

Slightly crush Doritos, but not into small crumbs. Layer 1&1/2 cups Doritos in the bottom of a casserole dish. Top with ½ of the beef mixture. Repeat layers. Top with an additional 1 to 1½ cups Doritos and remaining cheese.

Spray a piece of foil with cooking spray and cover casserole. Bake 30 minutes covered, remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

Quick Tip: Take the drained juices from the salsa and add a little water to make ½ cup for the recipe – extra flavor!
